This from The Mega Agency – founded by Splash News original co-founder:
The Mega Agency founder Kevin Smith explains why it’s time for a change in the world of photographic agencies.
In a message to photographers and videographers across the world, Smith outlined why he believed his new agency, Mega, was the future for contributors wanting to be treated more fairly.
Reacting to the news that his former company, Splash, was again being sold, Smith said it was time for a new, state-of-the-art agency to move in a new direction, using the latest technology to move content across the globe faster than ever before.
He said Mega was now open for business globally, selling direct in 15 countries, offering preferred royalty rates, and revolutionary payment methods, meaning a fairer share of revenues for contributors, and faster than ever payments.
The agency is also about to unveil its new phone app, allowing super-quick uploads directly from mobile phones. Said Smith: “I was immensely proud of Splash, what it meant and what we achieved, and eternally grateful to those who helped it to become the success it was. “There is no point in dwelling on the past, I have seen the future, and it is Mega. I do hope that some of those who helped make Splash the market leader will join the new revolution. “The interest in Mega has been overwhelming. And this is just the beginning. We have plenty more surprises in store. We’ve built an agency that is better equipped for both clients and contributors and we know everyone is going to love what is coming.”
